Card Sharks Strategy Guide

Cards sharks is a casino table game based on the former television game show of the same name and is similar to Catch a Wave, another popular casino game.

Card sharks is played with 4, 6, or 8 typical 52-card decks and the cards are scored just as they are in poker but that aces are always high. In card sharks, the player makes his/her wager and is dealt one card face up. Initially, the player may choose to keep the card or replace it with the next card in the deck.  When the player chooses to keep the card, he or she must guess if the next card will be higher or lower than the current card. When the next card is dealt, if the player was incorrect or the card is equal in rank, he or she loses and the game is over. If the player chose correctly the new card becomes the player's hand card. The process of calling the high or low continues two more times.  If the player made three correct guesses, then the player moves to level 2 of the game.

At this point, the player once again has the option to replace his/her current card with the next in the deck and again there are three “high/low” opportunities. If the player makes an incorrect guess or receives a tying rank, the player wins 1:1 on his/her bet. If the player completes level 2, the payout is 3:1.

In most casinos there is an optional tie “side” bet in card sharks. However, the side bet may only be made at the same time the opening bet is made. The side bet is won when the player loses the opening bet on a tie. The payout odds vary.

Card Sharks is a great game to play in an online casino!
