Let It Ride Strategy Guide
Introduced in Nevada in 1993, Let it Ride has become a favorite played throughout the casinos of the world. Unique in the sense that the game allows you to take back some of your wager while the cards are being dealt, Let it Ride is based on poker and offers huge jackpot options and side bets.
Play begins with players making three equal bets, one in each of three betting circles at each seat at the table. The dealer deals three cards to each player face down and two community cards face down.
At this point, players look at their three cards and, if they have a good hand or are feeling lucky, they can “let it ride.” However, if a player is not happy with his/her hand, he or she can take back their first bet. A second wager is now made.
Now, the dealer turns over the first community card, which becomes the fourth card in each player’s hand. Again, if you think you have a good hand, you can Let It Ride. If not, you may take back your second bet.
Finally, the dealer turns over the second community card, to completing the players’ hands. If a player pulled back his/her first two bets, the third bet has to play. If the player’s five-card hand contains a pair of 10s or better, it wins. Payout is as follows:
- Pair of 10s or better: 1:1
- Two Pair: 2:1
- Three-of-a-kind: 3:1
- Straight: 5:1
- Flush: 8:1
- Full house: 11:1
- Four-of-a-kind: 50:1
- Straight flush: 200:1
- Royal flush: 1,000:1
